Default Centex single family homes?
I was just wondering what people thought of Centex homes? They seem reasonable for 250k. I have looked at townhouses but really would like a single family home. Kids on the way we have a dog. Just seems like it would be the way to go plus we have looked at house on the market and nothing seems as nice as a new home.

In my opinion, it depends on what type of neighborhood it is in. My brother lives in a neighborhood that are all Centex and they are all cookie cutter. There is no difference in the floor plans except sometimes they are flipped. So if its just one house in a neighborhood with a bunch of different kinds of houses then I totally recommend it. But if its just a development with all the houses looking the same then I don't.
