This is unusual. Usually by now Northrop Mall would be filled with students lounging on the grass! When it gets warm everyone gets spring fever -- I even remember one of my smaller classes packing up and just meeting outside.

This has really been a crazy spring. Here's hoping that the fall is nicer! Ah, well, just get your son a nice warm coat and some boots and he'll be fine.

By now you'll have many students who have given up winter attire, disregarding the weather. There's always some wishful thinkers who come back from spring break and have shorts, tank tops, and flip flops on...and there sometimes is still snow.

Regardless, this is unusual weather, even for farther north. Even by Duluth, it's usually nice by May.
