anyone know anything about the cobblestone lake area/neighborhood in Apple Valley? The townhomes and houses look so nice. I wonder do mostly older people live there or people with families/young kids? Any good and bad comments greatly appreciated

It is a very mixed area with a lot of singles, newly married couples, young families, families with older kids and retired couples. It is a planned community so a mix of townhomes, cottages, single family homes, etc. It is in a convenient location AND the builders are having a hard time selling the properties that are already built there so it is a great time to buy. My boss lives there, not in the townhomes but in one of the single family homes, and loves it. They have a community website the people can post on and they have a lot of functions in the neighborhood. It is worth a look if you are considering a townhome.

![]() any idea why they are having a hard time selling the existing homes? Last edited by athena1852; 10-29-2007 at 02:51 PM. Reason: another question |

Because the housing market in MN and most of the country is really, really slow.

I love the homes in Cobblestone. I would live there except it's too far to work for me. I generally disdain the suburbs, but think Cobblestone is unique. On my visits I've seen all ages and types of people (although generally a racially homogeneous bunch...this is suburban Minnesota after all).

I would suggest it is because they are overpriced for the size, character of the homes, and location.
