Hello guys,

I moved to Minneapolis from a country where Finasteride/Propecia (for hair loss) was not a prescription medication. Since I've run out of my tablets, I found out today that they are a prescription product here in the US. As a result, it seems I'll have to set up an appointment with a Dermatologist for a consultation/prescription.

Can you make any suggestions for a dermatologist in the area? I don't have US insurance, so low consultations fees, and reliability is a must.

Thanks in advance for the help!

You can probably just go to a general doctor to get your prescription vs a specialist who will charge a higher visit rate. Where do you live? That will help people make a recommendation close to you-or close to where you work.

Oh, you can do that? I figured I'd have to actually go see a Dermatologist for it. I live in South Minneapolis, and work Downtown, so anywhere in the area works great.

Maybe check out some of the dr's in the skyway system. When you call, just let them know what you need. If they can't help you they will let you know. Are you going to be getting insurance soon? It's not something you want to be without here.

When you get your prescription, call around to several pharmacies because prices will vary.
