Default Comute time Hudson WI to St Louis Park MN

I'm looking at a job situation that would require a daily commute from Hudson WI to St Louis Park MN.
Any estimates of commute time during normal work hours? (7 to 4, 8 to 5)

Thanks

I've never done it, but I imagine it would take a looooong time whatever time of day you go. It's only about 35 miles but you have to negotiate a LOT of traffic over the bridge at Hudson, then thro the center of St Paul (where several freeways meet and merge), then thro Minneapolis via the intersection with Hwy 394, negotiating the 35W exit too - at least 40 minutes on a clear day. But if there's bad weather or an accident . . .

Maybe there are detours that other people here know about.

You'd need at least an hour in both directions on a normal day...once it snows, plan on an hour and a half.

I travel 25 miles each way and many days it's an hour and a half commute to work and the same home. If you could move closer I'd strongly recommend it.

This is a haul, almost a day trip even with no traffic. Both cities are nice, pick one.

You don't want to do this commute.

At least an hour each way in good weather. Your best bet may be to take 494 rather than 94. 94 east from Mpls to St. Paul is very congested in the afternoon, not to mention it's the "no room for error zone" meaning that they have narrowed the 3 existing lanes to fit another lane in to handle the extra 100,000 or so commuters that would have taken the 35W bridge.

The money you save on state taxes will be eaten up in gas costs.
