Maplewood, MN..safe er no?
I am about to take a job in the Maplewood area by White Bear Ave and 7th. I am also wanting to live close to where I work. Is this a safe place to live for a single female...I am not originally from MN so I don't know much about the area. From just driving around the work location, some of it appears kind of shady, but I can't tell if I'm just being over concerned because I'm new.
Thanks...

I really hope someone can give me some good info. I've tried to look online but have found very little...maybe that is a good thing.
Any help would be appreciated!

I live in the Maplewood area and you don't really have anything to worry about, it's generally a nice area, a lot of parks and open space. The closer you get to the 94 intersection on White Bear it gets a little seedier. If you are working around 7th you should live further north, you can still be in a pretty safe area and very close to your job.

I wouldn't worry, not a bad place for working, I just wouldn't live right in that pocket, only because a few blocks down in either direction are pretty nice areas.

Maplewood and Roseville and surrounding areas are all very nice towns.
