In the Como neighborhood in Saint Paul, Chelsea Heights elementary school is quite good. That would be a nice neighborhood to live in. Como Elementary is not so good.

^ I would agree with that statement. North and west of the golf course is better in terms of elementary schools than east of the lake. The como area is my favorite neighborhood in st paul and I definitely highly recommend it, it sounds just like what you are looking for.

Como is one of my favorite St Paul neighborhoods, no idea what the schools are like though. It could be a cool place to live and be a single mother.
