Default Romantic Restaurant With Nice View of the City?

Hey guys, I'm heading to Minneapolis in a few weeks with my girlfriend. I would like to treat her to a nice dinner, somewhere with a great atmosphere where we can maybe see the city. Are there any restaurants downtown in the larger bulidings, where we can eat and snag a birds-eye view of the city? If not, any other suggestions? A revolving restaurant maybe?

Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

P

20*21 at the Walker Art Center (view of downtown)
Cue at the Guthrie (overlooks the Mississippi River)
not all tables in either place offer the view - you will want to request it in advance.

As far as the food, 20*21 has the most over-rated Sunday brunch in town. I haven't been there for dinner but have heard it's good. Wolfgang Puck restaurant.

I haven't been to Cue either, but hear good things.

La Belle Vie is supposed to be the best restaurant in town. Again, I haven't been there (sorry - I'm new but a restaurant fan so I read all the reviews). I don't think they have a view of the city there.

View Restaurant overlooks Lake Calhoun, which is probably not as enticing now as it would be in the summer.

Good luck!

Thanx for the replies guys!!! Really helpful.

I checked out Cue at the Guthrie's website and it looks really nice. I'm sure the view of the mississippi is pretty good too. I think that's the place I'll go with.

20*21 doesn't look very stylish from the pictures i saw, plus i have no idea how good the view is either....at least with Cue at the Guthrie I know it's going to be nice inside.

Thanks again for all the help, any other suggestions would also be greatly appreciated.

Default dinner with a view

::: VIC'S DINING ::: - Minneapolis Restaurant on the Riverfront ::: - Home

St. Anthony Main area is probably one of the more romantic areas.
