Interested in Minneapolis (apartment, low crime, neighborhoods)

Hello,

I am currently a NYC resident just tired of living here. I have been looking into relocating to Minneapolis and I would like to know if anyone could give some insight on the city like good areas to live, crime statistics (there is enough of it in NY, just trying to get away from as much as possible), apartment prices, etc. I looked at some of the other posting and they helped me some but any additional help would be most appreciated.

I moved here a few months ago from Detroit. Minneapolis is a very nice city, it has many wonderful neighborhoods, a very low crime rate, and a healthy economy. And coming from New York, you will probably think that housing costs are cheap as well. I think it's a great place.
