Default Rental homes in Eden Prairie, Edina or Eagan

We're moving to MN in just a few weeks. The job is in Eden Prairie and we're looking at rental homes before we buy.

Anybody know anything about pricing or availability of rental homes in EP, Edina or Eagan?

We need a minimum of a 3 bed, 2 bath, must accept dogs.

Thanks!

I would suggest looking at Rent.com or apartments.com. I have been searching Rent.com for the Plymouth area (Edina & Eden Prairie are out of my price range) but there are a lot of places listed for Edina, Eden Prairie and Eagan. Also, if you rent through rent.com you can qualify for a $100 move in credit so it may be worth it to check there. Lots of places that are dog friendly but some do have weight restrictions (I have a mini-doxie so that's not a concern for me) and others require proof of current vaccinations and that the animals be spayed or neutered. Also, be prepared to pay an additional pet deposit and possibly "pet rent" each month ranging from, what I found, to be an additional $25-$75 per month per animal. Good luck.

I am waiting to hear back on rentals in Apple Valley and Rosemount so I can ask about Eagan as well. Hopefully I will hear something tomorrow.

When I was looking for a home to buy recently, I noticed that quite a few home sellers are also willing to rent their homes. A lot of people are desperate, especially if they have already bought another house (or even worse, moved out of state). You might want to call realtors who work in those areas or check the major realty websites.

Default Various from Eden Prairie person

I googled "eden prairie" houses for rent and found the site: rentalhouses.com. It shows the houses and where they are (you can map them). Yahoo! also has a site: Eden Prairie, MN Rentals on Yahoo! Real Estate: 1-10 of 29 listings where you can search within the city or specify the number of miles away.

I didn't notice any place to specify dog property, but added it to google search above and got plenty.

Good luck. Eden Prairie is, for the most part, a very good place to live. Some neighborhoods are very friendly, some less so (I think it's the attached garages, lawn and garden services, private backyards, etc so people aren't outside their homes as much and don't naturally bump into each other). It has a reputation as being somewhat rich, but there are plenty of very middle class neighborhoods, and we have developed a large immigrant population in the last few years through our affordable housing programs.
