Actually, a few residents in my neighborhood did exactly that. A good deal of exercise I imagine, but their cars or trucks were parked right at the curb. Still baffles me how many houses that I know have garages have cars parked in the street. We search for adequate inside parking 20 years ago and have conscientiously used it. Our reason was living in a place previous where a car on the street could be vandalized at any time, and the police considered it the lowest of low priorities. It appeared obvious to us that our only defense was locking up our cars.

Anyone drive on 66th Street in Richfield lately? Right now it has some of the worst potholes I've ever seen.

I wonder just how many unreported pothole fatalities there are. Damage to a car is predictable. But any 2 wheeler hitting one at speed is a crapshoot. In fact, any imperfection in the road surface is a potential threat. Makes one wonder if maybe the helmet is only the start of riding protection.

Update on WCCO said the Motorcyclist above was traveling at speeds as fast at 120 MPH---the real cause I guess....

Anyone driving a motorcycle here in March this year is not too bright imo. A few years ago when it was 80 degrees on St. Patty's day maybe, but when there is still snow and ice everywhere, very dumb.

Black ice stretches have got to send a bunch of bikers to the ER. I'm not sure what speed is safe when you hit one of these potholes.
