I am moving from South Carolina to Minneapolis and I have got to have the new SEC Network with my cable plan so I am researching now. I'm an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. So whichever cable company has the SEC Network will get my business. Thanks for the recommendations.

I think you - like most of us in the Twin Cities area - are stuck with Comcast if you want cable:

Cable Service FAQ - City of Minneapolis

They are the only option for cable for much (nearly all? all?) of the Twin Cities. There is also Dish and DirectTV as TV options.

Unlike other markets, the Twin Cities (or at least most of the metro) does not have a choice of cable providers. You're stuck with whoever serves your area, and for most, that's Comcast, unless you go with DirecTV or Dish.

The Securities & Exchange Commision has their own cable channel? Cool!

SEC Inspectors taking names and kicking azz, don't you be doing any insider trading in this neighborhood homes!

I think this is true of all markets.

THanks for the heads up all. Here in my SC market, we have Dish, Direct TV, Charter and AT&T Uverse as options. Looks like I'll be going for Dish as they are the only ones so far to announce they will be carring the SEC Network...football network that is.

If you have Dish or DirecTV up there, does it cut out a lot because of all the snow? I'm imagining a couple of inches on the dish itself disrupting the signal...am I wrong?

No. Faribault, Zimmerman, and Moorhead all have multiple cable TV options, to name three cities in Minnesota. Fargo, ND will have two options as of next year. It's actually not uncommon at all. We're just unfortunate enough to not have choices in most places in the metro area.

As far as weather interference, my DirecTV never went out this winter. It's always been fine.

Marshall does as well----and surprise, surprise, a full cable, internet, phone package is 1/2 of what we pay in the Twin Cities .

Is it fairly new? How long have they had multiple options? I have lived in 7 different cities in 4 different states and have always only had one choice, so I am thinking multiple options is the exception.
