You pay what they say you pay, and that's that.

My quarterly bill is just over $100.

I haven't closed on my house yet, but I am second guessing deciding to live in St. Paul.
You are second guessing living in St Paul over a garbage bill? Seriously? The cost of trash removal is insignificant compared to property taxes and other city assessments. The old system of having 7-9 random garbage trucks down your alley every week was arguably much worse than paying a few bucks more per month for organized collection. Maybe now, our alley won't be such a pothole ridden mess at the end of winter.

My bill went up by $5 a month. This is what people are complaining about on Next Door. Seriously, people spend that much money on coffee everyday. We have much bigger issues in St Paul than all the "outrage" over organized trash collection.

No. It's just another in a long line of progressive(regressive) policies within this once-fine city that keep pushing me closer and closer to the edge of getting TFO of St. Paul for good. Communists have long taken over this City (and State).

Idealogy over reality...take a look at how well the Minneapolis waste collection system works when you have a chance. It is a thing of beauty and that is no exaggeration. Cost-effective too.

You probably think Joseph McCarthy was crazy, too.

Though as we look at the climate in America today, it's clear he was entirely, 100% correct.

Yup...MinnSOVIA...least tax-friendly state in the Union.

You people can't lie to us anymore...some of us have been on to your scheming for some time.

I can only reiterate my last response as it's the most appropriate one.

I was cutting one of my clients tiny properties in Bryn-Mawr this morning, took me less then 15 mins to complete my job. During those 15 mins, three different trash trucks came down the street and each backed into the very short alley to collect trash. There's only eight homes in this short alley. One trash company should have it.

Not sure what was going on there but we residents don’t contract with individual companies in Minneapolis. We pay the city and they hire one company to do an entire area. There are separate collections of garbage, recycling, organic recycling, and large heavy items because you obviously can’t mix those things. The first three all come on the same day and in the same time frame so that may be what you saw.

Sure, that would make sense, didn’t think of that.

My opinion? I hear that the garbage collection in St. Paul is picking up.
