We are originally from Cleveland, OH and we live pretty close to the lake. So we are used to long cold winters.
We have been approached with a opportunity that would be too good to pass up. We have 2 girls 3yrs and 6 months. It's already been suggested that we enroll them in the Apple Valley school district once it's time for school. I was trying to find more into on the Burnsville/Apple Valley area and everything I've read says they are both very wealthy suburbs. Everyone is a college graduate. I also had a friend tell me that they are a Family friendly state. That MN takes very good care of it's women and children. So what can we expect? |

Personally I would not suggest Burnsville schools. You want District 196-most of Apple Valley is in 196.
Yes, these suburbs are more middle and upper middle class but they are not overly wealthy. Not everyone has a college degree but a high percentage does. It is a community that really stresses academics and the schools show that. Where will you be working? If you are working in the northern suburbs you don't really want to live in the southern suburbs. There are many great districts around the metro area. |
