Hello all,

Has summer arrived early this year, or is this normal at this time of year? thanks for the replies.

Not really...temperature wise, this is pretty normal for late May. In fact, Weather.gov puts us just below average for the entire month. It just feels warmer in comparison to the hypothermic death-vortex we had over the past half-year or so.

Not that I'm complaining...this is absolutely gorgeous biking weather.

No, this is normal for this time of year. What has not been normal is everything up to this week Usually by May you can expect nice weather, 70's, not the cold/snowy stuff. After Memorial Day-daytime temps are generally upper 70's and warmer, but nothing about this year's weather has been normal.

don't recall seeing such an abundance of wood ticks as have been encountered this year in Chisago Co. as in previous Springs

There are loads of ticks by where I live, too. I think it is because there are so many deer running around.
