Where to Take Out of Town Guests
Looking for some advice on where to take some out-of-town guests on a Sunday night. We're all in our mid-20s - a group of about 9 or 10 - some couples, some singles. The visitors are coming from Michigan and upstate New York so something kind of kitschy-unique would be fun. I was thinking about Nye's but they're closed on Sunday nights. I also thought about Bryant Lake Bowl. Does anyone have any good ideas about where to bring my friends so they'll enjoy their night out in Minneapolis? Thanks for your help!!

Are you aiming more for food, bar or entertainment? (I suppose BLB is a combination of both.) Little Tijuana's? The Times?

Are you guys into club hopping? How about going downtown to E block where all the clubs are?

Good questions, I guess I should have made myself a little more clear.
No club-hopping.
One in the group is Vegan so we're trying to steer away from traditional restaurant-types.
I would prefer more entertainment than bar (it seems a lot of bars are closed on Sunday nights) and since we haven't seen each other in years, I don't think a noisy, crowded bar would be the best scene. Someplace with some atmosphere, where we can catch up and visit, yet have more to do than just eating and drinking...

The Triple Rock comes to mind for probably the best vegan food you'll find at a bar.

I would take my friends to Rudolph's for happy hour, and then head across the street to Mortimers for some darts, golden tea, and drinks. Or maybe hit Liquor Lyles for 2 for ones. They have pool and things also.

Rudolph's is cool for the two for one's, but that place can get packed as well as Morts. Rudolph's is a meat place and I think the only thing vegan they serve is fries and salad. Personally I think Mortimers blows, but at least there is Gringos. Lyle's could be a good choice as they have darts and pool and probably vegan food as well, plus they have a happy hour with two for one's pretty much the entire time the are open for business. Can't go wrong with that. It could be pretty packed on a Sunday, though as well as Morts and Rudoplh's. The Bulldog or CC might be an option as well if you want to go that route. I still say Trip Rock as it might not be that packed on a Sunday unless there is a show going on.
