Default Minnesota Wild

OK, I’ll admit I have season tickets to the Minnesota Wild games. I can thank my fanatic hubby for that. I usually go so that I can get a nice dinner in downtown St. Paul at Kincaid’s, Pazzaluna or the St. Paul Grill ahead of time.

This week, however, I’ve enjoyed every darned minute of the games. Is it because they’ve won the last two games I’ve watched? You bet it is!

Tuesday, December 18th, they came back from a 0–2 score against the somebody Predators to win 3–2 in the third period.

Tonight…well…it will go down it Minnesota history for all of the Wild fans, as well as, all hockey fans…Marion Gaborik scored not only a hat trick, but 5 goals in one night. Now that’s a big deal!

I can’t wait until this Saturday!

Sadly, most of my interest in the NHL (and professional sports in general) was painfully ripped out of me when my beloved North Stars left for Dallas. Norm still sucks, and I will never forget his (or the league's) injustice to the fans.

I was VERY glad when the NHL finally returned to Minnesota (the state deserves team), and I even root for the Wild a little bit now and then from down here in Atlanta, but it's Gopher games and the MN High School Hockey tournament that I miss watching the most.

I saw the highlights. Man, that Gaborik is one fine hockey player.

Keep the faith, you will have another hockey team to feel akin to. We're working on it! I am not originally from Minnesota, but it's so obvious that, here, we are all about local sports teams. I think that's a good thing. Go Gophers!

don't forget gopher basketball. tubby smith has created a ton of improvement and they should be a consistent top 10 team within a year or two. now is the time to get in on the ground floor.

Default Wild for the Wild

I have followed hockey since the days of the Edmonton Dynasty. I lived in California for years and went to games for the Kings and the Sharks. I have watched hockey games in a number of venues. After all that, all I can say is this...

THANK GOD I AM IN WILD COUNTRY!!

The Wild are a great team!! The Excell is the best arena I have ever been in!! AND THE TEAM OF 18000+ ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!

I absolutely love watching the Wild at the Ex. These guys are the best. I would not be suprised to see them in round three or four come play off time.

GO WILD!!!!!

Ive been to a few Wild vs Blackhawk games here in Chicago, and had a blast at each of them. Last year it went to a SO (I forget the date) and the game I attended last Friday was a blowout by you guys. Khabi was clearly off his mark and allowed 3 soft goals. UGH!!! Anyways, I got into it with a few Wild fans, but by the end of the night we "made up" and shook hands, all in good fun. Seems like your fans are pretty decent, and you have a great team and a loyal following, which is good to hear. Now, if we can just get the Wangs fans to be semi-cordial everything would be alright. lol

We just moved to PA and we miss the WILD. My son's room is in the process of being decked out with all WILD stuff to remind us of home. We have the Flyers and the Penguins now, but it isn't much comfort.....

To take the coversation a different direction, I have a question.

I'm driving to the game tomorrow (Anaheim), and its my first time doing so. I plan on taking the 5th St exit off of I-94 eastbound, and I heard they put up a new parking garage right off that exit, sort of stuck between kellogg, 5th, and 7th. Does anybody know what they charge for parking there for the game? And more importantly, do the traffic cops allow you to turn out of there (left on 5th st, i'd think), so you can immediately get back on the interstate. I know last year my friend was driving and we parked at the big rivercentre parking ramp, and they made us turn right instead of a left on kellogg, so we had to wander through downtown until we found our way out. I just don't want to deal with that hassle again.
