On the contrary, getting from NB 35E to WB 36 recently, I noticed wider merging lanes - a big help, though perhaps confusing to some drivers? To me, the redesign seems like an improvement.

Don't get me started on the "safety" NB 35W / WB 494 interchange in Bloomington/Richfield, though - that, I think, is a horrible design.

The problem is that the width of the bridge deck going NB hasn't changed much. You still have skate to the right and slow down quickly, all the while watching for cars coming up from EB 36 -- all in a very short distance.

And when you go down to WB 36, it's all the same. Very hairy merge area under the bridge.

I agree with the 35 and 36 ramps.
I was so looking forward to something different and better.
Doing away with those clover leaf exit entrances.
