Basically saying Burnsville is scummy.

I grew up there and graduated from bville in 2000. It was OK then, but it's gotten a lot worse. There is a lot of racial tension in Burnsville, as well as crime. That's to be expected whenever there are a lot of apartments and lower income people. I won't single anyone out, but I paid thousands of dollars more for my house than I would have in bville. It's not worth it if you have kids. Not all areas are bad, but the schools themselves are full of out of control kids.

B ville is a nice, average suburb, but it pales in comparison to it's neighbors. That pretty much sums it up. The schools are worse than D196 in my opinion.

Road construction on the Interstate 35W Minnesota River Bridge is scheduled to begin in the next few year. This is a major reconstruction project for the river bridge.

As a follow-up to what I wrote about a year and a half ago about the apartments, some of them have been sold to new owners and are being significantly updated.

Any idea when? I'm looking at moving to Burnsville and commute time is a factor.

MN-DOT has the I-35W Project scheduled to begin in 2021 and end in 2022. It'll be a two-year project, and cities such as Burnsville and Bloomington are being warned to prepare now since the impact, during construction will be severe. In the end, benefits will be great.
