I also have no personal experience with Windom, but for that matter neither does Great Schools--ever--for any school. As far as I can tell the number they assign is purely based on test scores. If you are interested in test scores you can get more detailed and up to date info from the MN Dept. of Education website. I looked and saw that the achievement gap in this school is about as high as I've seen anywhere, and that white kids had test scores that were pretty much off the charts. So apparently it is possible to be educated in this school despite its being a "3".

Our son has been at Jefferson for several years and we love it. I recommend people do the right thing and attend their closest, public school and work to improve it.
