I talked to my mil today and she said they shut down parts of I-35? Chilly! Golfgal, if you golf in Northfield often, then you probably know my sil and bil, they are avid golfers. Thanks again for all of the very valuable information!

I have only golfed in Northfield once so probably not.

They are slowly developing the newest section of Evermoor and there are many lots left. If it wasn't so dang cold I would run up and take a picture of the area for you but sorry, I'm not THAT nice . There are a few houses for sale up there too. They had a nasty blizzard south of the cities yesterday. It got as close as Cannon Falls. We had about 5 flakes of snow was all.

What? You mean you won't go take pictures for me in what, according to weather.com, feels like -30 degree temps for some random individual on this board you have never met? I see how it is. Okay, I wouldn't be doing that either. Are schools closed today? Speaking of schools...are all of the kindergarten classes half-day unless you pay for all day? Or are some of the districts strictly all day? They changed things in the Phoenix area last year, now kindergarten is all day, no option for half day. Not sure what I think about that.

I think kindergarten here is 1/2 day with the option of paying for full day. Not all districts are like that. Our old district has full day kindergarten. Our twins were the first class that had required all day in that district and at first I wasn't sure about it but after about a week I loved it. Schools are not closed today, it takes much colder temps for that to happen in the suburban schools since most kids are close to school or bus stops. Our neighbor picked up our twins this morning but our oldest has to walk to the end of our lot and can see the bus coming so he stays inside until then anyway so no big deal for the cold today. He did actually wear his winter coat today which he normally doesn't so that is something I guess.

I think dd will be ready for all day K, and I am already in the mindset of all day. I wonder if it fills up fast. I'm sure we will be late for registering. School starts in Sept. right? Speaking of winter coats....I don't think we even own one. I suppose I can look forward to buying a new wardrobe.

Probably. YOu won't need anything until October or so though. Schools generally start the day after labor day. I don't know how fast the full day kindergarten fills. It is possible that they go by need and if they have 10 classes of full-day kids they offer 10 classes of full day. I am not sure about that though.

Well, I'm sold. Now we just need to finish getting our house here ready to put on the market. And buurrrr, still pretty cold up there. Kids get a 2 week spring break here in March, so we will be up driving all over to look at houses. I have found a bunch to look at in the Rosemount area, and some in Apple Valley on the border of Rosemount? Is there a big property tax difference between the two towns?

Not really, maybe a few bucks. Let me know which houses you are looking at and I can give you advise on neighborhood (you can DM me if you like).
