I'll be visiting in June, and I love me some pho. Can anyone recommend a good pho place?

I go to Pho 79 all the time. It's good, but tbh, it's not consistent.

Pho 79 is good. So is Quang.

I have a couple of friends who swear by Trieu Chau, but I haven't made it there myself yet. I'll have to make an effort to finally go and then report back.

i'm not much of a pho person myself but love Vietnamese food in general. Maybe Jasmine Deli or My Houng Kitchen or even the chain store Pho Hoa Noodle Soup--all are on Nicollet ave. All three are delicious. My Houng is probably my fave of the three but no shortage of places to get Pho. Also look in St Paul's Midway area for Vietnamese food.

Hard to beat Ngon Vietnamese Bistro in St Paul, imo. It's authentic, it's affordable, but it's not a dump. Really nice space, outdoor patio in the summer, craft beer and cocktails and they spin vinyl. Their Rib Eye Pho is my favorite.

Ngon Vietnamese Bistro

iPho - (formally Siagon) is always good. Most variety here (St. Paul near University Ave & Dale st.)

VNAM - I think might be my current favorite, although I could be biased because I go here for lunch break (who doesn't love getting out of the office!) This is located in Eden Prairie, near the mall.

Mandarin - Vietnamese place in Brooklyn Park, good broth/noodles but sometimes I feel like the brisket can be overdone and the fat chunks too large. (85th ave. & Noble parkway in a strip mall)

Caravelle - Great consistent pho. Service here really shines. (Little Canada road & Market pl drive in Little Canada)

I haven't yet had their Pho but I've loved everything else I've had at Pho Tau Bay. I'd put it in the top tier of Vietnamese places I've been to (Ngon, Caravelle, Quang's, Trieu Chau, Pho 79). The one bad thing I'd say is that I was there this past weekend and the place reeked of incense...I find perfumey non-food smells very off putting in restaurants.

Interesting! I go by here at least once a week (bowl at Saxon..), and I NEVER see it open! I had no idea what it was, even! Good to know the food is good!!
