Default St. Paul Park refinery?

Anyone have any opinion on St. Paul Park? Looking at a house there, however the oil refinery within a mile of the house is probably going to be a deal breaker. Just wondering if anyone lives there, or has spent any time there and could shed some light on what it is like living near such an industrial area. The crime statistics also aren't very flattering, so any info on that would be appreciated as well.

It depends on what your future goals are. It isn't a very desirable area and never really has been. It is pretty industrial as you have found. There are better options if you want to be in that area--try Hastings.

I'm sure your right. I fell in love with a house out there, but a nice house doesn't make up for a bad area. I was hoping that maybe it wasn't that bad. I wouldn't be looking to move anytime soon if we bought the place, but I'm sure the neighborhood would be a killer on resale.
