LOL yeah I was watching the news a few days ago and they said the high temperature in Minneapolis was 3 below. I was like, "WTF?" Even Chicago manages to make it above zero every day, even in the dead of winter. To have a high temperature BELOW ZERO..................yeah that is pretty brutal.
If it's that cold yeah you can gangbang but then you'll gangbang -- mod cut If it's 10 below, I ain't stealing liquor, I'm stealing a parka. Or maybe some firewood.

I'd be more afraid of getting shot in uptown of Murderapolis than lincoln park of Chicago.

when a city gets 45 murders, not even 1 a week ... overall almost 2 months without a homicide every year than its not "murderapolis"
chicago gets 45 murders in a single neighborhood let alone over 500 a year.
next time i run into someone from Minneapolis and they call it murderapolis im knockin em out front and center

As well you should.
My hometown has always, in my memory, recorded its first homicide of a new year before the sun came up on New Year's Day. This year, there were 2 homicides before daybreak. At no point during the year did we go 3-4 weeks without a single murder, EVER. I wish we did, but we didn't. And we're maybe half the size of Minneapolis. Maybe.
Minneapolis should take a lot of pride in this. What other major U.S. city can brag that it has yet to see a single homicide in the new year? We're like three weeks into the new year.
On the other hand................I wonder if extreme cold really does play a role in this? I know that homicides increase during the summer months virtually everywhere, so does that mean that subzero temps help curtail violent crime?

Unless it is car theft; people still leave their keys in the car to warm it up for some reason. We're Vancouver between December and February.

You're kind of obsessed with the homicide rate of Murderapolis aren't you?

The only point that he's trying to make is that a city that goes three whole weeks without a single homcide does not deserve to be called "murder" anything. Which is a very valid point. People who think that Minneapolis is a violent city need a reality check, preferably one that takes them to Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, or Gary.
It reminds me of a comment made by a poster on another internet forum. He said that he moved from Seattle to Portland, OR because "Seattle has too many minorities and too much poverty." Are you serious??? I'd hate to see that guy in L.A. or Chicago if he thinks that Seattle has too many poor minorities.
