"Gilly Hicks is the new Abercrombie and Fitch lingerie brand that is for girls from the ages of 18 and up."

Except all the girls who will be shopping A&F lingerie will be under 18 as is customary of this brand.

? What do you mean? Why would this post be sad? Either you like the fact that the MOA is getting bigger by the moment or you don't.

I miss watching the Twins (and Kicks) at Met Stadium and the North Stars at Met Center. Those things should all be brought back.

I haven't to MOA in years. Is there as much rif-raf running around as I've heard? Or is that just the news blowing things out of proportion?

It's NOT a huge perk. How much will you spend on clothes? If you spend $400, the tax would amount to $28.60. You'll spend more than that on gas to drive there.

International tourists go to the MOA because of the exchange rate. I doubt they even notice that there isn't sales tax on clothes. And anyone from out-of-state...again, the gas costs would dwarf anything they spend on tax. The MOA draws a crowd because it's a huge number of (trendy) stores in one place. Implementing a sales tax wouldn't change that.

Why isn't that a perk? No sales tax vs. sales tax...what you rather have?

But that isn't really the question. If you live out-of-state, the question is No MOA vs MOA. Which would you rather have?

Maybe the MOA has stats on why people shop there. I refuse to believe that any more than ~2-3% of shoppers are there for the tax break.

I used to shop at the MOA because it was the closest mall to my apartment at almost exactly one mile, and it was also on my way home from work.
