Highly debatable topic.
I like the outer ring western suburbs best, anywhere from about 394 and 169 out to Mound.
I really like the Mound area for the facts that it is on Lake Minnetonka, still feels like a small town with a population of only about 10,000, has a real downtown area to it without a single big box store, and is still a reasonable distance from downtown in my opinion.

I agree with moving123456 about the 394 & 169 statement.
I was born in SLP (how old is Methodist anyway? It should be on the Nat'l Register by now), went to Hopkins schools, raised in Minnetonka, lived in Uptown, Edina, and now am firmly planted in Plymouth until the kids are on their own.
I worked at Mound High School for a few years, and am in agreement that it has a feel to it that is hard to find in the subs.
Anything west of 169 from about EP on up to what is now almost surpassing Maple Grove is the hometown feel.
Just my opinion.

Edina, EP, SLP, Minnetonka pick any of those.

This is one of those threads where you can answer correctly for any suburb YOU live in and/or love!
It would almost be easier to ask which is the worst?

I predict that most people would have the same answer to that question, it would be 2 words, the first one starting with a B.

I know exactly what you're saying moving123456- Belle Plaine, and I think we're all in agreement on that.
Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the suburb that I vote for the Cities best suburb, but maybe someone can help me out if I describe it. It's the one that:
-Allows you to choose from 2 different floorplans and 5 different shades of beige for the exterior of your split foyer tract development home.
-Where you only have to sit in rush hour traffic on average two hours a day as opposed to 3.
- Did a great job of destroying any semblence of natural habitat and consequently has no trees (and all of those messy leaves to have to pick up after).
-Has an amazing school district where your kids can learn and grow in an environment completely lacking of any diversity.
-Has endless generic national chain stores/ restaurants/ coffee shops/ fill in the blanks.
I just had it on the tip of my tongue but lost it, anyone able to help me out?
