Default Driving test in Anoka, pls advise

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know which road they use for the driving test in Anoka? I will have road test next week. Are they going to test both parallel parking and backup 90degree? I am so nervous.

Please advise.

I don't know about Anoka, but Chaska has testees drive around the surface streets in the old portion of Chaska. I imagine it would be the same for Anoka since the towns are so similar. If Anoka uses a track (like Eagan or Plymouth) it may be worth the drive to Chaska as I feel surface streets are easier than a closed track.

I took my test in Anoka. I was tested on both parallel parking and 90 degree backing. The roads used were all in the neighborhood on the north side of main street near to the drive test office. It isn't that bad, just practice the two types of parking some before taking the test and you should be fine.

HINT: at the end of the test we were returning to the driving office and I was told to head west on main street towards the office. I lost points because I went into the left turn lane too soon. You'll notice that the lane on the left of you going down the entire stretch is reserved for making turns. Don't go into that lane until you're close to making the left turn.

Good luck.

Default Hastings Road Test

I found these posts very helpful. I have a daughter taking her test in Eagan on Monday and my son is taking his test in Hastings. Is anyone familiar with the test route in Hastings, or has anyone taken the test that can give advice. My daughter's driving instructor said the roads are really torn up there. It's really critical that my son passes as he and my husband are planning a month long road trip a week afterward and my son really needs to help with the driving. So any advice or tips about the Hastings road test would be really helpful.

Thanks! kmc
