This area may fit my needs. I know there's a supertarget, home depot, chipotle around that area. Does anyone know of any apartments near there? Also is it a kid friendly neighborhood and is it walkable?

The apartments near the Richfield Target are next to Cedar/77 and not very desirable. It is fairly safe but the buildings are not well maintained. You also have to deal with the noise/traffic. They are basically low cost/Section 8 housing for recent immigrants - mostly Latino and Somali residents. It is a kid friendly area in the sense there are some parks in the area but it is not very walkable in winter. Most of the streets outside of the main ones like 66th don't have sidewalks and the city is slow to clear them off in winter.

I can't recall any apartment buildings on the Minneapolis side near Nokomis offhand.

i agree with the poster above. there are apartments all the way down cedar avenue in richfield. i personally would not rent in any of them. the closest i can think of to nokomis would be bossen terrace and other buildings in that area (is is still called bossen terrace??). i would never live in that area.

richfield has a couple buildings further west on 66th at about elliot but have no idea about suitability of those.
