Default Minneapolis/ St. Paul Job Wages

Moving to either Minneapolis or St. Paul summer of 2008 and was looking for a ballpark figure for job wages. My wife is an RN with 10 years experience and I am a carpenter with 5 years experience. Any ideas?
Thanks

RNs are unionized at most of the metro area hospitals; thus, the salary is top notch. I don't have figures, but I know nurses aren't starving either!
Carpenters are in a down market. The metro does have a carpenter's union, but I think now would be a tough time getting good work. More building is taking place Minneapolis and west. St Paul and east has basically ceased for now.

Good luck,

Hospital nurse with 10 years of experience should expect in the $50,000-$60,000 range, more if she has some specialities. Carpenters make what they make I guess. Most are independents and make as much as they drum up business for.

$30-$40/hr for your wife (full staff with benefits)
Carpenter jobs could be very tough right now. Real estate is in the tank here.

Construction jobs are evaporating in general.

Minnesota metro area nurses are some of the highest paid nurses in the nation. The employment for nurses is endless. I am not sure about carpenters.
