I'm really surprised that you were stared at by people in downtown Minneapolis. I work downtown and see Asian people every single day...are you two a particularly good-looking couple? They may have been staring because you're young and attractive.
Where in Asia are you from? Most of our Asian immigrants are Hmong from Laos and Cambodia, and a there's a sizeable Vietnamese community, too.

I would suggest Cubs in Uptown too. Get a bus pass. Smile, everybody loves Asians. People will warm to you. You've been here 3 days. Try 3 years and people still look at me funny. But Ive surmised its because I'm gorgeous 😀
