I worked in Brooklyn Center for about three years with the most racist people I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. The business was all white, the women were treated like second class citizens, and a black or Asian had no chance in hell to get hired. I found that attitude very prevalent among whites in the area.

Hi B law. I guess Brooklyn Park would be more of a second ring suburb. I feel like it is more of a city for the most part. I know that northern Brooklyn Park is still somewhat undeveloped, but it seems like an extension of North Minneapolis.
I also think that it is unfortunate that someone worked with some prejuiduced bigots in Brooklyn Center. I just want to state that my experience around the Twin Cities still would rank this as a great place for multicultural families. My wife and I have been doing great here. There are going to be racist morons working anywhere, let them be idiots. Just don't share those opinions with me or I will let you know how I feel about that. |
