It used to be a cute little community known for their Minnesota nice...what happened? Now it's a big protest proud community they love to block big interstates lol (and there are quite a bit of them there in Mpls!) I mean let them go all around the loop if they really want, they have a great area for that...maybe in winter they can walk on the snow. I mean this community has become an unrecognizable place it is not the Minneapolis we all love and endear

You know not all of the people in Minneapolis are protesting right? While we are at it everyone in Chicago is a murderer, everyone in New York is a greedy economy-destroying Wall Street trader and everyone in Denver is a pot smoking hippy amiright?

I have even read here, the Twin Cities being described as a "war zone like Chicago" ...

Minneapolis and St. Paul have a long history of protest movements, civil disobedience, and rioting including Bloody Friday and beyond.

Well, you might consider that TV and newspapers tend to be far more interested in selling ads than strong journalism. Eyeballs and clicks determine what is presented so the sales team has its numbers to set advertising rates. Same as it ever was. That is why The Weather Channel always seems to be reporting live from the middle of a disaster.

Minneapolis has always had a strong interest in social justice and community organizing, and with that, protests - some peaceful, some not.

Yeah I barely made it home from the grocery store. Had to serpentine through all the small arms fire and take shelter several times in bunkers and behind a Super America when mortars were fired.
