Hello everybody
How are you all doing? Well, my family and I may be relocating from Baton Rouge to MN.
I have a few questions that I hope I can get some help with please.
I have a 3year old and an 11 month old, where is the best, most affordable places to live? Also, with good schools. I am planning on being there sometime next week GOD's willing.

Thank You so much
Cassy

Best place to live and affordable are mutually exclusive. How much can you afford and what ammenities are you lookin for?

Let's start with these questions:

- City, Suburbs or Country? Where are you most comfortable?

- House: Older charm, Mid-Century, or new Construction?

- #of Bedrooms, # bathrooms, desired square footage, price range?

What they said.

The most affordable places to live are pretty much by definition not going to be the best places to live, since desirability drives price. If you can give us an idea of your budget we can suggest the best areas that would be affordable to you.

And since "best" is highly subjective, you will get much better suggestions if you can articulate what sorts of things you find desirable. Maybe "best" to you means endless cul-de-sacs of identical new-construction houses on the outer edge of the metro area. That sounds like my personal hell, so I would never put such a place on my list of "bests" unless you indicated that that is what you were seeking. What appeals to you? A condo in the downtown core? Walkable urban neighborhoods with little yards? Inner ring suburbs with midsize lots and city proximity? Outer ring suburbs with brand new McMansions and every big box store known to man?

You could start with where you're going to be working and we can give you some guidance from there.
