Default Can't find tax or cost info for Anoka County

I am researching a move to Anoka County and can't find some basic info. I currently live in Nashville, where we do not have a state income tax. Basically...what do you pay? It seems like appr 7% --of what??? If you are an employee, is that 7% of net? Do you use your federal return to calculate it?

Also, what is the property tax rate for a house in Anoka County? It looks like some people can get a refund for most of the tax. Is that right?

How do the vehicles hold up there? I was just visiting, and the roads were great...I am just wondering about the salting and rust forming on the cars.

Does anyone out there live in Anoka County? How do you like it???

I think you will find that in MN most of the taxing, while done through the county, is set on a citywide level. Anoka County is a big place and your property taxes are going to vary depending on which town you are in. As for income tax, that is statewide so you will pay approximately 7% or whatever on your gross income.

Vehicles hold up just fine here if you take care of them. You will need to wash them frequently in the winter but with all the rust coatings, etc. they put on cars you don't see them rusting out any more.

Why Anoka County? Is your job there? Where specifically are you looking to live in Anoka County?
