The twin cities is known for its diversity and so I encourage you to experience it.
There are many daycare centers. Some of the really good ones have have a long waiting list but you can generally get a spot in 2 to 3 months in the others..

I'm generalizing here, but that area of St. Paul (just north of University/94) has lots of SE Asians. Typically the Indian community here congregates in the suburbs near the Temples. Maple Grove, Plymouth, Woodbury, and St. Louis Park all have sizeable Indian communities. Unfortunately I don't have apartment specifics

I know there are lots of Asian markets in Frogtown. I was looking for a place in that area myself, because of the Asian markets. The crime rate is higher there though.

Try the link above to see if there is a specific area that the Indian community hangs out at. I do know there are a lot of Indians in MN. There are different religious sects, and classes for kids to learn the language etc. You could have done a lot of networking and found out some good info at the India Fest, but that was last week.

In any event, try the Facebook page to get info directly from Indians living around here.

Lot's of Asian-Indian residents around the metro area. I was at the Capitol this weekend and there was a very large Indian festival going on, not sure what it was called though. Eden Prairie, Edina, Maple Grove, Plymouth and South Minneapolis seem to have a higher percentage of Indian residents compared to the rest of the metro. Not sure about the St. Paul side.

Woodbury might be a good place to check out. These articles reference local suburban growth of east Indian residents:

I was also thinking Bloomington, but that might just be because I have east Indian friends living there (am not really sure of the overall population there). Good luck with your search, and welcome to the area!
