Hi, I live in a one bedroom flat with my 7 and a half month old boy in a mother and baby unit, I have been told that I have to move my bed into my living room and that my little boy should have his own bedroom, I have moved my bed in the living room so my son has his own room now, me and my partner (my sons dad) do not live together, the problem is they are now saying that I have to go to a move on panel to go on band A on homelink, the problem with this is that they are saying that me and my partner (my sons dad) have to pretend we are not together and go to the panel as a single parent to even be considered to go on a band A, if I choose to go to the panel as a couple the staff have said that the panel will turn me down and say we are able to private rent as my partner works, but that's not all, the biggest problem is they are saying that I am a vulnerable person because I am a care leaver, I am literally so stressed out as i do not know what my rights are on all of this, what do people think about this, do people think that this is wrong or against the law?

go to panel as a single parent because you are not legally married you are legally single and you do not have a family.

the other option is to get married and become a legal family and do private rent with exploring programs designed to help impoverished families.

This is a forum for Minneapolis MN USA. How are we supposed to know anything about UK housing programs?

Because Mpls is a highly educated city and residents can answer anything!

(OP, some posters either can't see the forum divisions on their phones and really don't know where they are posting or have zero clue about geography.)
