I would like to see one in the area, but somebody would need to be willing to put up 60 million+ for it. It is $30 million for a new MLS franchise now and you need to agree build a soccer specific stadium for the team within 3 years which is another $30+ million.

If the area does get a team, I hope they go with a more traditional european club style name like FC Minnesota rather than something like "Minnesota Blizzard" or "Minnesota Kicks ". Most new MLS teams seem to be going that route anyway. The Dallas team was even renamed a few years back from Dallas Burn to FC Dallas.

Sounds okay, but take can also be FC Scania Minneapolis.(Think of FC Inter-Milan). The logo can be a Viking ship. If there is a team for St. Paul, it can be FC St.Paul and the logo can be a shamrock(or four leaf clover).
Another name could be the Minneapolis Purple Rain.

I am all for an expansion of MLS.
I think two teams for MN would be nice.
