Moving to Minneapolis and its crappy schools so your kids can hang out with "rebels"? Sounds like a plan. We moved from South Minneapolis to EP for better housing and better schools. Yes, kids are involved in athletics here. But there are plenty of "geeks" and misfits. Kids are kids so you'll find a range. EP does seem to have more intact families, which leads to better adjusted kids. I don't see that as a downside.

As for diversity, EP has plenty of Somalis, Indians and Pakis.

You should get out more.

Having people from different ethnic backgrounds means nothing if they suppress what makes them unique to fit in. Those Somalis, Indians and Pakistanis probably behave exactly like white EP residents. That's not diversity. They are just brown-colored white people. Know the difference.

I’ll let my neighbors know that their cultural and religious uniquenesses aren’t acceptable to some angry person on the internet.

Who said anything about your neighbors? I don't know you or your neighbors. Also, while you're defending their "cultural and religious uniqueness"...are you even educated about those things? Or are you conveniently using them now to prove a point to a stranger on the internet?

These are all rhetorical questions, btw.

Well I was the poster who first pointed out that my kids have friends of varying backgrounds in Eden Prairie.

Did you read the thread?

Also - how do you get to make assumption about whether or not the non-white residents of EP are authentic versions or not?

Finally - this is a discussion not a lecture. You post questions but don’t get to decide if they are rhetorical.

I can absolutely tell you how I am intending the comments I wrote. The audacity of you trying to tell me what the comments *I* authored mean. You are free to answer my rhetorical questions if you'd like...to show me that you're the boss, I suppose. LOL. You folks never cease to disappoint...

Huh? They came to America to be Americans. Assimilation is the glue that holds this country together.

You make so many unsubstantiated assumptions about posters on the forum and now you’re making assumptions about the authenticity of non-white residents of a city of 60,000 people. You ask questions and declare them rhetorical. You are a bully and have some massive ax to grind that you ruin threads by dragging everyone down to your level or causing others not to post because it isn’t worth it.

IIRC you had a bad experience living here. I’m sorry for that. It’s just surprising how judgmental you are about people you don’t even know, including POC and immigrants.
