Default Taxes on Comcast Cable Service

I'm trying to get an idea of what all of my internet/cable costs are going to be when I make my way to Minneapolis.

Does anyone know the final cost of the Comcast triple play package that they advertise for $99 ? How much do all the local taxes/fees add to that? Seems like those fees just keep getting bigger and bigger!

Thanks!

I had Comcast cable internet and I can't recall the amount in taxes and fees. I know that it was only a few dollars more then the advertised price, though. I had my own own modem and they tried to charge me $99 for not returning it when I canceled service, even though they knew that I never received a modem from them in the first place.

One thing with this $99 thing is that it is a promotion. The deal only lasts for either 3, 9 or 12 months depending on the promotion. After that you will be charged full price, so don't be confused when you get a bill for $250 dollars one day (they will not remind you when your promotional period is about to expire).

They also charge you for any boxes you get with the digital cable, and even more if it is a HD box. We have the basic $99 package with 2 boxes and HBO and our bill is about $160.00 per month.

If you don't upgrade anything (Premium chanels, extra cable boxes {I've only used this for the On Demand service}) it comes to about $115 - after the promotion period it goes about $40 before taxes.
