A lot of the apartment complexes with indoor parking garages have a hose and drain for you to wash your car. A lot of the "automatic" carwashes are closed when it's below 10 degrees, so this saved my butt a few times when I really needed to get the salt off asap. So yea, the indoor parking garage is worth the extra money if you can afford it.

The road salt wreaks havoc on the undercarriage and the exhaust system, so try to get to a car wash has the under-the-car spray feature every month of so in the winter. If you have a garage then that'll help your car a lot too.
