i got bit by a large dog on a delivery job i had once. it hurt and bled like hell and i did end up following everyones advice of getting a tetanus shot. but i assumed the dog would be put down if i reported it to the cops, so instead i just cussed the owner out until she nearly cried while i soaked up blood with paper towels. it worked! i felt much better and she got to keep her dangerous animal. try that next time

Yes, I'm sure it didn't break the skin, I found that out when I looked at it after getting home. Plus rabies is transmitted through saliva and I was wearing jeans so the liklihood that saliva transferred through my jeans and into my unbroken skin is nil. Plus rabies is completely non-existant from dogs as of like 40 years ago. I have had my tetanus shots to so no worries, I'm not going to die.

Glad to hear you fared so well from the ordeal. To be safe, though, I'd still like to see you take another trip to Taco Taxi, just to make sure you're nutritional needs are fully met, too.
Did you know there's a Taco Taxi in NY, too? They have an actual yellow taxi.
Come to think of it, I may just hit up the Taco Taxi after work. I've never been there and I'm too curious. Tacos are a favorite food of mine.

I looked it up on google and reviewed it. I also noticed that there is a Taco Taxi in St. Paul.

Maybe you should give up the tacos for awhile so you can discern if the foaming from the mouth (if it should start) is from rabies or the salsa.

Give it up people, "On September 7, 2007, rabies expert Dr. Charles Rupprecht of Atlanta-based U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that canine rabies had disappeared from the United States."

yeah if the pit bull was rabid, the 8 year old walking him would have tried to bite you as well with his rabidness. Even if the kid himself avoided rabies somehow, that dog would have been so friggin aggressive there is no way he would have been able to control him enough to walk. You're more likely to get rabies from a racoon or a bat than a dog, and its uncommon in the midwest.
I did know a kid whos dog got rabies and his sister had to get the stomach shots because it bit her. No fun.

Slig, here's a headline and the beginning of another article from the same source you quoted (Reuters):

Rabies outbreak discovered in Toronto area
Mon Jan 28, 2008 2:36pm EST
TORONTO (Reuters) - A rabies alert has been sent across Canada after a puppy sold at a Toronto-area flea market tested positive for the fatal disease, health officials said on Monday.
They said it was the first outbreak of rabies in the Toronto area in more than 20 years.
Toronto health officials said the eight-week-old border collie, which has died, was from a group of 12 puppies at the market. The other 11 dogs are under quarantine.
The mother of the border collie, from a farm in Eastern Ontario, has also died after contacting the virus from a rabid skunk....
The virus is found in the saliva of a rabid animal and can lie undetected for up to 10 days. It can be spread through a bite, cut or scratch, or if the saliva comes in contact with the mouth, nose or eyes.

Let me ask you a question, in a given year, how many people are scratched or bitten by a dog in the United States? Of all of those bites, how many contracted rabies? I would estimate the 2007 totals to be 0 or possibly 1 out of 200,000,000.
