So, I have been out in the suburbs (Eden Prairie) for about 6 years and it's time to move back into the city. Any recommendations for rentals? I work at the University of Minnesota and am looking at West River Commons on Lake (thoughts?) and places in NE Minneapolis (the Arts District). I wouldn't be opposed to uptown or Southwest Minneapolis.

What is your price range? How important is proximity to the U? Are you looking for a quiet area or one with more action? Do you need underground parking?

Price range is up to $1200...I don't need to be REAL close to the U (considering I drive 19 miles there everyday) and after 6 years of the suburbs, a little action sounds good! But quiet is fine too. Underground parking is definitely preferred.

I just looked at the West River commons website and that place looks like it could be a good fit in regards to amenities, location and price.
