Default Bagpipe Concert This Sunday 4/13 in St Paul

The Macalester College Pipe Band Macalester Pipe Band - St. Paul, MN will be having their annual spring fundraising concert this Sunday the 13th of April.

The concert is at 2pm and will be performed at the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center on the campus of Macalester College in St Paul. There will be a pipe corps of 20 bagpipes, and a full drum section of 12. (**Bring your own earplugs if needed**)

There will be highland dancers, Uillean Pipers, and some great solo performances that shouldn't be missed! The concert is approximately 2 hours, (including the intermission) and is truly some of the best Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe music you can hear in the Twin Cities metro.

As mentioned, this is the spring fundraising concert. The proceeds allow us to supplement the college stipend so we can continue to travel the midwest in the summer representing Minnesota in Highland Festivals competing our skills against those from other parts of the country and Canada.

Last year we went as far as Seattle, Washington representing Minnesota and clinched the title of 'Wahington State Champions' in our division of pipebands.

Please come out, and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of piping and dancing!

Here is a link with directions and a map to the campus: http://www.macpipeband.com/edit/files/flyer.pdf (broken link) the college is located at: 1600 Grand Ave, St Paul

We sincerely appreciate your support of the arts!!
