a couple more questions
thanks for everything soo far, though i still havent made my decision. but since i am moving to the cities 4 sure i was just wondering what are the worst parts of minneapolis/st paul to avoid, and the best parts to be.taking into consideration i am white. and also ppl said lake st was very dangerous and me and a friend went there at night and walked around and everyone seemed to be cool, but was that just a fluke or is it really not that bad? i was just wondering that because my cousin lives right off lake st and i will probably be spending a lot of time there

Yes, what part of Lake? The area from Nicollet Ave to Minnehaha Avenue S could definitely be dangerous at night, especially the unlit offstreets. During the day, it is fine.

The Mexican janitor who works at our company, lives right off of Portland and Lake. He said that he doesn't like to go out at night. I suppose the reason being is that, that area has Latino gangs.

I love that area during the day tho. Lots of culture, good restaurants and the colorful murals are awe inspiring.
