I'm considering buying a SF home in the Twin Cities, likely Hennepin or Ramsey County. Is there any way I can estimate closing costs as I browse through homes? I would just like to know whether I should expect to pay $5k, $10k, $15k. Not looking to get a detailed breakdown quite yet but just want to factor these costs into my budget. Any resources that list what the major taxes are? Thanks.

Not enough details. There are closing cost calculators you can use online. But I caution you that they aren't going to be very accurate. I have an app that is provided to me by my loan officers. You can type in the exact address, financing terms, etc. and it will give you a close itemized breakdown. Sent you a DM.

Two questions. Are closing costs the same or does it depend where you are buying? Meaning different cities and towns and Minnesota in general compared to another state.

If you go to realtor.com and search houses you can see closing costs listed. I don't know how accurate but maybe a ballpark estimate.

Good luck
