To those who read my comment about the increase of natural disasters and thought it was mean, I think it was misinterpreted. I didn't say they were judgments against anyone. I don't think anyone can say that they are. The "labor pains" I spoke of are part of a scripture that says when we see these things happening that it simply means that it's near the time of Jesus' return. Nothing more. Since 86% of Americans claim to be Christians, I didn't see my comment as being out of line. It was simply an observation. To those who misunderstood it to mean that I thought God was judging tornado victims, I apologize for the lack of clarity in my post.

Sorry for the above deletion all. I thought I was posting on a different thread. That said, I hope everyone is more settled this evening in those affected areas. Many people are thinking of you during this terrible time.

Oh no. Please don't apologize for that. I understood exactly what you were saying - that the recent increase in natural disasters had something to do with the return of Jesus. Yep. I get it.

What an incredible way to minimize this tragedy. My original thoughts still stand. Very insensitive and ignorant original post. Very disturbing that it would occur to you to post that. I hope your thought process isn't reflective of the general population. That would be an additional tragedy.

Between the increase in the number (and intensity) of earthquakes, fires, tornados, cyclones and higher than average predicted hurricane season, one has to wonder if this isn't part of the labor pains spoken about the Bible.
Saw a picture of the two-year-old that would break your heart!

I live east of Hugo and lost 70' trees but not the house and happily no injuries. It was over in seconds! never had time to get to the basement.

I feel so lucky....it was upsetting but not so much when I put it in perspective.

The people who were unaccounted for were just not home at the time.

Your post was very clear, but also ridiculously crazy in my opinion.

What I said in no way minimized the tragedy. You've completely jumped to conclusions on what I said and my intentions.

Tree damage is bad enough, I'm just glad you and your home are safe. I've been through tornados like that, when it's over so fast you didn't have time to do anything. It's a scary time!

I'm glad the people weren't home at the time. Had it been a regular weekend, more people may have been home. Glad you're okay!

I respect your opinion. It's not crazy to those who read the Bible, though.

Let's keep this on topic please. If you want to debate the religious aspect, please move over to the religion board.

I feel horribly for the family of the lost life. Is it common for this region of MN to get hit with tornadoes?
