On Saturday I can get to Mall of America in about 20-22 minutes, from Coon Rapids. That is with 35W constuction, I have never checked the miles but its probably 40 miles. The traffic is not to bad here, except rush hour, thats why you might want to stay on this side of town if you are working out here. There is only a few highways this direction and they can get REALLY jammed up. The last place I would want to be in the winter is sitting in rush hour, that would double your trip in bad weather, which is 7 out of 10 days, LOL. If you lived in Maple Grove you would have to cross the river and those bridges get backed up, there are two ,the 610 bridge which turns into 252 and Ferry St. which becomes 169. I go both directions, at different times and neither is better.

40 miles in 22 minutes? Wow. That's 109 MPH on average?

I'm just kidding -- it's sometimes hard to estimate distances and times when driving on the freeway.

kleong01 is on a distinguished road
From Google Map, its 29 miles from Coon Rapids to Mall of America. Asitshouldbe, you have a very good point there on crossing bridges to get to work if I live in Maple Grove. The main traveling that I have to worry about is between work and where I live, the rest will fit in as its the route that I travel everyday. I guess the best place would be Blaine for me since I would not have to cross any bridges.

Thanks Again!
