169 between st. louis park and brooklyn park - rush hour (Bloomington: place to live, moving)

is it a parking lot/death trap? i'm moving in august and going to class full-time in brooklyn park. st. louis park has become my best option for a place to live. i've never actually driven on 169 during rush hour. during off hours, however, i've had plenty of close calls with your typical SW twin cities cell-phone-yakking distracted-driving-ford-excursion soccer moms. i figure that's pretty much unavoidable in the burbs, though.

It sounds like your class schedule is during the day, so you'll be going North in the morning and South in the evening. If that's the case, you're fine; you're going against traffic - it all flows south in the morning all the way to Bloomington.

In the opposite direction, traffic can be brutal, but your commute should be no problem.
