Areas Similar to St. Louis Park?
Does anyone know of any areas around the cities, besides Uptown/Dinkytown/Grand Avenue, that are similar to the St. Louis Park Excelsior area?
By similar I'm referring to younger, more modern areas with plenty of things to do that are within walking distance.
Thanks

Robbinsdale because if its downtown area with local bars etc and access to parkways - lots of younger people there. Lowry Hill (by the Walker) lots of affordable (100-200K) condos there surrounded by million+ dollar homes.

Dude you need to read more carefully. Sarah stated two seperate areas. The million dollar homes comment was attached to the Lowry Hills neighborhood in the uptown area of Minneapolis. If you go on the other side of Hennepin Ave you run smack into hundreds of million dollar homes around and near to Lake of the Isles, Cedar Lake and Lake Calhoun.

Robbinsdale is definitely not a good idea for a young dude who likes to walk. That is a suburb for families, plus, there are a TON of old folks. And if that isn't enough to dissuade him then I need to mention that these so-called restaurants are truly lame. I am sorry. I am not some bigshot who eats at all the high-class restaurants but I've seen the restaurants in Robbinsdale and have yet to be impressed. There are also many closed shops and vacant areas. Crime is not bad but the lack of things to do for a young male like the O.P. and myself make Robbinsdale a horrible choice. Otherwise, carry on.

Not really I think you covered all the areas. Also Northeast Minneapolis, along E. Hennepin avenue between downtown and White Castle
