MN Zoo - Grizzly coast, anyone been there yet?
We saw the construction going on last October and saw what they had planned - it looked great. The MN Zoo website says the Grizzly Coast exhibit is now open, has anyone here been there to see it yet?
I love the MN Zoo, it's great year round - the (non existent) late fall/winter crowds are great too.

Not yet. We are planning on going at the end of the month when our electric co offers a free day for customers.

Yes, we took the kids there last week. The bears were quite active - in the water swimming, pressing up against the glass trying to get to all the food (people). They stood up on their hind legs often, which was quite impressive.
The bears actually looked like they were having a good time, although I have no idea what a good time is for a bear.
It's definitely worth a trip to the zoo. My wife made several comments comparing me and the bear - most of them good...

Yep, we made it out to see the new exhibits. The tigers were all hiding and were barely visible. The bears were defiinitely one of the highlights.

The bear exhibit is fantastic. Even before the exhibit opened we saw them from the monorail. Two bears were up one of the trees and were shaking it so violently it looked like it was going to come down. We were there last week also and all 3 bears were active - wrestling, swimming and climbing. My 3 year old son was pressed up against the glass, literally six inches from a bear exhorting him to "eat the fish, eat the fish!" (there are salmon in the water). The otters were great also. They're huge. Catch them at feeding time if you can.

Thanks everyone, it sounds like they did a terrific job. I think we'll have to take a trip back in December, hopefully catch the zoo in the snow.
